Influential [In My Book]
September8
Someone ask me over email earlier today:
“who’s the most influential woman, according to you?”
This particular question keep my head busy for about half an hour. As pictures, images, and names keep on popping in my head. As first my head come up with this list of candidates:
- My Mom. Like every child, I adore my mom. She’s everything to me and I don’t know how my life will be without her. In summary: I LOVE YOU MOM!
- Lady Gaga. Why on earth i come up with her name? Truthfully, I don’t even know. At first look/hear of her, I kindda think that she’s just another “one time” show stealer. With one quirky songs and be done with it. But after Poker Face, she’s getting weirder and the song, somehow is getting more acceptance from my ears. Her consistence in strange and quirky performance is really earning a spot in [my] dictionary.
- Sheryl Sandberg. Who’s Sheryl? Bet you’r not familiar with her name. Me either, until one day I stumble on a page of fortune magazine showing this power ladies in silicon valley. And her name comes up in the article. She had a good review in it, capturing all the things that I projected to achieve in the future. She had a powerful position in Google as former VP and then she join Facebook as COO. Besides work, she’s also manage to still be a mom and also doing a lot of networking. Success in juggling work, love and social life is something worth being admire.
So at the end what’s my answer?
“I will always my mom, and like to repeat lady gaga songs in my head and also admire Sheryl ability to be a female powerhouse in the online industry.”
