3R
Nope, it’s not a size of your holiday photo’s.
3R is the title from one of Jack Johnson song, and it was one of my fave song when it comes to environmental friendly song. Jack was telling the kids or whoever listen to the 3R song about the trinity concept of reduce-reuse-recycle.
Three it’s a magic number
Yes it is, it’s a magic number
Because two times three is six
And three times six is eighteen
And the eighteenth letter in the alphabet is R
We’ve got three R’s we’re going to talk about today
We’ve got to learn to
Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
This song just pop up in my head when I stumble upon one particular blog [lonelybranches.blogspot.com] that portrays a lonely Christmas tree post Christmas day. They are so lonely, somebody should adopt them! lonelybranches’s is quite a new blog and it showcases only several picture of a lovely pine tree post Christmas. I wish I could know more and well perhaps know what eventually happen to the lonely Christmas trees out there.
lonelybranches made me think, how many of us use a real pine tree? If they are being used, do we keep it in a pot? So many questions bubbling in my head that I was not sure with the answer. I always love Christmas tree, due to the decoration part of it [all the lights, color, dolls, and those ornaments attract me a lot]. But lately I was so shocked by how expensive it is to have a big Christmas tree in your house. I was never curious before, but this season I stumble upon one artificial Christmas tree (all full decorated one) in a mall and it cost up to 30million rupiah! That’s very expensive by my standard [even if it was a tall full decorated with a cute red theme decoration adornments]. Btw if an artificial tree cost that much, is real one is far more expensive? Or it is not?

I was not a devoted tree lovers. But if you do have to have those real pine tree to be your Christmas tree, would it be nice to have it re-plant after the holiday? Please…please…please consider it. The good side of it, you’ll always have your very own pine/Christmas tree with you.
