After a long work hour, tight schedule, lack of sleeping and an overdose of PMS. I found that something that makes me happy is not a thousand worth of make up application or the newest shoes from my fave brands or even a good dress.

The remedy turns out to be very simple:

Pstttt….did I tell you guys that being healthy is one of my 2010 resolution, aside from another obsession to run in 10K’s event?

OK, sebenarnya bukan exactly being healthy sih, this is what I made exactly, right before i fell asleep on New Years Eve: “mau muat kembali ke jeans-jeans lama dan berada di kisaran berat 50kg”. Not much ya? But you know what? For a girl that is in her early 30’s (LOL…I used to say early 20, and then mid 20’s) it’s not that easy to shed the kg!!

Not when:
I work (like all the time)
I eat (like whenever I can)
I’m lazy (to go to the gym and hit that treadmill, so my credit card is doing it’s exercise instead of me)

Jadi…I need a reason to be healthy and make my resolution come true!
Dan that reason is finally HERE! I’ve never thought I’ll be on of the  Soyjoiy Healthylicious program.  Gue rasa memang sudah saatnya I fit in those jeans and be healthy

Princess kiss a frog, frog turn to prince, they married ever after
…right… if only life is as smooth as a fairy tale

Satu hal yang jadi “eye opening” dalam film kartun terakhir keluaran disney The Princess and the frog , Disney mulai menjual (something close to) the real reality. Kalau bicara soal a girl kissing a frong-frog turned to a prince-happy ever after, that was pure fairy tale dream.  Dan biasanya fairy tale itulah yang biasa dijual Disney. Nah, ketika Disney decided to twist the classic Frog Prince story closer to reality, I was a bit glad.  Walau kalau dipikir ulang semua cerita princess disney punya plot yang sama:

1. pemeran utama pria-wanita bertemu
2. bisa jatuh cinta pada pandangan pertama/kedua/ketiga
3. ada masalah besar yang menghadang
4. masalah terselesaikan – happily ever after

I like make up. I don’t know when exactly the basketball player, runner, sport crazy with no make up girl has taken so much interest in make up. But I do. Make up enhances your beauty. I used to frown each time my mom worries when she has to appear bare faces in public. But now I can see why. Because when it was used in a right way, it truly can transform you.

I know buys a lot of make up products, although I learn that basically you just need a very good face powder (infest on a good brand, because this is basically your foundation of the overall look). Number two big investment is a good lipstick (if you find your color, you’d never go wrong. Mine is Mac half n half). Number three can’t live without make up is my mascara (after a long search, my must have mascara is the waterproof clinic, easy to use everyday and it’s also easy enough to cleans). That’s it, that was my basic investment. Other from that, you also need to have some basic color for eyeshadow and blusher. Read the rest of this entry »
